The Old Maps Online portal will help you to discover web sites containing historical online maps. Several British and Scottish sites are linked. For example the David Rumsey collection includes 30,000 historical maps. The collection focuses on North America and South America although other countries are represented.
In 2012 Old Maps Online will be adding additional collections from around the world.
